«Carpe Jugulum» is the fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (368 pages, in Spanish).
In Lancre, King Verence invites the Magpyr vampire family to his daughter's christening, unaware that these modern vampires are immune to garlic, stakes and religious symbols and intend to take over the kingdom. While the witches Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, Agnes and Magrat try to stand up to them, the priest Mightily Oats suspects it will take more than a prayer.
It belongs to the Discworld series, of which it is the twenty-third instalment and the sixth book devoted to the witches.
Sir Terence David John Pratchett was an English author, humorist, and satirist, best known for the Discworld series of 41 comic fantasy novels published between 1983 and 2015, and for the apocalyptic comedy novel Good Omens (1990), which he co-wrote with Neil Gaiman.
