«Cara a cara» is the mystery novel by Ellery Queen, published by Bruguera in paperback (92 pages, in Spanish).
The victim is fond of music and crossword puzzles, and detective Ellery Queen trusts that these hobbies will reveal the killer's identity. The facts contradict that logic: the case is a seemingly insoluble enigma whose solution, in the end, turns out so clear that the reader is surprised not to have seen it before.
This novel is number 3 in the Club del Misterio collection. The original work, «Face to Face», was published in 1967; the translation is by Miguel Giménez Sales and the illustrations by Carlos Freixas.
For fans of classic detective fiction and the Ellery Queen detective series.
