«Canoës» is Maylis de Kerangal's collection of short stories, published by Folio in paperback (179 pages, in French).
The centrepiece, «Mustang», and seven connected stories form the collection. Maylis de Kerangal explores the human voice, its materiality and its powers: women of different ages appear when their timbre wears out or breaks, or when a recording filters or erases their words. The author seeks her own voice among theirs.
This edition was published on 7 September 2023.
