In this third volume of the Blood Lad series, Staz heads to the demon palace to ask his brother Blaz how to resurrect bodies. Along the way, he is thrown into prison by his sister Liz, who refuses to let him see Blaz. Meanwhile, Fuyumi's body begins to disappear, and Wolf takes her to Franken Stein, a mad scientist who might be able to help. Staz and Wolf each make a deal to get the help they need, but at a price: they must eliminate the terrible artificial demon No. 9 that is causing panic in the demon world.
