«Biblia de Jerusalén» is a commented edition of the Bible from the École Biblique de Jérusalem, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback and in Spanish.
The Bible brings together the sacred texts that have inspired works of art, legal systems, and philosophical and social debates for centuries. This edition, prepared by the École Biblique de Jérusalem, translates the originals into Spanish with fidelity and careful expression, and includes notes and commentaries that place each passage in its historical and cultural context.
It is the 1994 edition, number 1675 of the El Libro de Bolsillo collection from Alianza Editorial. The cover reproduces Michelangelo's «Profeta Isaías» from the Sistine Chapel.
It is intended for Bible scholars and readers interested in delving deeper into the Holy Scriptures.
