«Bedrich Smetana» is the biography of the Czech composer written by Faustino Núñez, published by Edilibro in paperback, in Spanish.
Bedrich Smetana (1824-1884), father of Czech music, was born in Litomyšl and died in Prague. From a German-speaking family, he was a pianist, conductor, teacher and composer. His opera The Bartered Bride and the cycle My Homeland were popular, but did not give him economic stability. The book reviews his life and includes a sound selection of both works.
Published in 1994 within the collection La Gran Música paso a paso. The edition includes a CD with a selection of works by Smetana.
