«Beau Geste» is the adventure novel by P.C. Wren, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (365 pages, in Spanish).
The plot opens when French legionnaires discover a desert fortress occupied only by corpses. The narrative then goes back to explain why the three Geste brothers, young Englishmen, decide to enlist in the Foreign Legion and how that decision relates to the disappearance of a valuable aquamarine from their mansion.
First instalment of the Beau Geste trilogy; it is completed by «Beau Sabreur» and «Beau Ideal».

Percival Christopher Wren was an English writer, mostly of adventure fiction. He is remembered best for Beau Geste, a much-filmed book of 1924, involving the French Foreign Legion in North Africa. This was one of 33 novels and short story collections that he wrote, mostly dealing with colonial soldiering in Africa.
