Synopsis of Bastogne
Bastogne es la segunda novela del escritor italiano Enrico Brizzi, publicada originalmente en 1996 y consolidada como una obra referente de la narrativa 'pulp' italiana de los años noventa. Ambientada en la Niza de principios de los ochenta, la trama sigue a Ermanno Claypool, un joven de veintiún años que vive una vida de excesos, drogas y violencia, moviéndose en una Vespa verde con asiento de dálmata. La obra es un ataque surrealista y devastador contra la sociedad biempensante y las falsas alternativas intelectuales, capturando el vacío de ideales y el aburrimiento de una generación. A través de una estructura narrativa que se retuerce sobre sí misma, Brizzi retrata un mundo donde los protagonistas intentan rebelarse contra la mediocridad adulta antes de ser devorados por ella, utilizando un lenguaje crudo y directo que lo situó entre los principales exponentes del grupo literario conocido como los 'Cannibali'.
