«Balbus» is the historical novel by Carlos Muñoz González, published by Ediciones Bohodón in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
In AD 102, Emperor Trajan launches a great offensive against Decebalus's Dacians. Veteran legionary Quintus Gracchus «Balbus» narrates in the first person the fear and discouragement of soldiers, many of them almost children, who long to return home though they know they are doomed to die. The course of the war, however, holds surprises.
First edition, published on 19 May 2016.
For fans of historical fiction and Ancient Rome, particularly military campaigns and stories narrated by legionaries.
