«Ases del aire: Aves rapaces» is the popular science book by Ramón Martí Montes, published by Círculo Digital in hardback (77 pages, in Spanish).
The book explains the evolution, ecology and conservation of birds of prey through their anatomy and behaviour. It pays particular attention to vision: visual acuity, the limited mobility of their eyes and the need to turn the head to observe the surroundings. The documentary 'El imperio del águila' complements the volume with images of these birds in flight.
The work belongs to the collection 'La Sociedad Animal: su evolución, su ecología, su conservación'. The edition, dated 2006, includes the DVD 'El imperio del águila'.
Aimed at readers interested in ornithology and naturalist popular science.
