«Animalia» is the short story collection by Antón Riveiro Coello, published by Galaxia in paperback (133 pages, in Galician).
A collection of stories in which the strange and the unusual seep into everyday experience. Its characters are not fantastic or monstrous creatures, but ordinary people into whose lives there unexpectedly bursts an intimate, secret thread linking the human with the mysterious and the inexplicable.
Winner of the Café Dublín Narrative Prize 1999; number 168 in the Literaria / Galaxia collection.
Will appeal to readers of contemporary Galician fiction and to those who enjoy stories with an unsettling atmosphere and everyday mystery.
