«Animales tristes» is Jordi Puntí's short story collection, published by Salamandra Ediciones in paperback (187 pages, in Spanish).
Six narratives, almost short novels, form a tableau of urban characters victims of love's fragile balance. With irony and tenderness, Jordi Puntí exposes small disappointments, lonelinesses and latent failures behind the apparent normality of everyday life.
First edition of 2004, in Salamandra's Narrativa collection. The work was nominated for the Premi Llibreter for narrative in 2003.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in intimate portraits of urban life and sentimental relationships.
