«Aikido para tod@s» is the fiction work by Julián Hontangas Carrascosa, published by Punto Rojo Libros in paperback (190 pages, in Spanish).
It narrates a humorous fiction about the birth of aikido: in 16th-century Toledo, the knight Eliano Vieco de Osma creates a singular combat method that spreads through a secret circle of knights. The work combines an advice column in which masters respond to practitioners with a library of stories featuring characters as disparate as Don Quixote, martial arts enthusiasts, or students of the aikido founder, Morihei Ueshiba.
First edition published on 2 July 2013 in Spain.
Recommended for aikido practitioners and for those who prefer to approach martial arts through fiction and humour.
