«Ágape» is Father Marcelo Rossi's Christian spirituality essay, published by Globo in paperback (128 pages, in Portuguese).
In «Ágape», the Greek word agape designates divine love: the work meditates on God's love for his children and on love of neighbour inspired by that love, with passages from the Gospel of John reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Examples such as Zilda Arns show agape as charity, and the author stresses that it demands personal and interpersonal action.
The book is written in Brazilian Portuguese and was originally published in 2010; it includes a preface by Gabriel Chalita. The author, a Catholic priest, has spread his teachings through radio and television.
Suitable for readers of Christian spirituality interested in the work of Father Marcelo Rossi and in divine love according to the Gospel of John.
