«Afrodita. Racconti, ricette e altri afrodisiaci» is Isabel Allende's non-fiction book on cooking and eroticism, published by Feltrinelli in paperback (328 pages, in Italian).
A journey through sensory memory where cooking is presented as a prelude to pleasure. Allende brings together stories, reflections and recipes with evocative names such as coral sauce, drunken pears or the soup that drives away thoughts, seasoned with irony and a playful approach to desire and sensuality.
Italian edition of Isabel Allende's original work, first published in 1998. Part of Feltrinelli's Universale Economica collection.
Recommended for Allende readers and for those who enjoy books combining literature, memory, humour and gastronomy.
