This book tells the life of Eladio Rodríguez González, a Galician intellectual honored on Galician Literature Day in 2001. The book covers from his childhood in the lands of Ribeiro, where he was born in 1864, until his death in A Coruña in 1949. His patriotic thought is described, evident in his work in favor of Galician culture in the Irmandades da Fala and the Real Academia Galega, of which he was president between 1926 and 1934. His commitment culminated in the Galician-Castilian encyclopedic Dictionary, published posthumously by Editorial Galaxia.
