«A Situação do Homem no Cosmos» is the philosophical anthropology essay by Max Scheler, published by Edições Texto & Grafia in paperback (96 pages, in Portuguese).
Max Scheler examines the human condition from two planes: the vital impulse, shared with the organic, and the spirit, which opens the person to the world. Compared to other living beings, the human being thus occupies a singular position in the cosmos, a central thesis of twentieth-century philosophical anthropology.
The work is part of the Biblioteca Universal collection from Texto & Grafia, number 4 in its Philosophy series.
It will interest students of philosophy and anthropology and those seeking a reference work on the human condition.
