«A Mad World, My Masters: Tales from a Traveller's Life» is the autobiography of John Simpson, published by Macmillan in hardback (464 pages, in English).
John Simpson, veteran BBC editor, reviews the most bizarre moments of his career: being hit by Harold Wilson, posing as a mercenary in Zaire, escaping an execution in Beirut, or dealing with drug traffickers in Colombia. Between the absurd and the tragic, he reflects on international journalism and the places that marked him.
Second volume of John Simpson's memoirs, sequel to «Strange Places, Questionable People». He worked as one of the BBC's leading journalists since 1966.
For readers interested in journalism, international politics, and the memoirs of great correspondents.
