«A Greek Quintet» is the poetry anthology of Cavafy, Sikelianos, Seferis, Elytis and Gatsos, published by Denise Harvey in paperback (216 pages, in English).
It brings together poems by five essential voices of modern Greek poetry: Cavafy, Sikelianos, Seferis, Elytis and Gatsos. Translated into English by Edmund Keeley and Philip Sherrard, they come mostly from their volumes devoted to each author and were chosen as representative of each body of work.
It belongs to the Romiosyni series, of which it is number 2. Two of the poets, George Seferis and Odysseas Elytis, were awarded the Nobel Prize.
For readers interested in modern Greek poetry seeking a representative anthology in English translation.
