«Wind From The South» is the jazz album by Chilean singer Claudia Acuña, released on CD by Polygram Records in 2000.
The album combines original compositions with versions of jazz classics. The arrangements, sober and elegant, leave room for Acuña's voice, which brings warmth and emotion; the sound integrates textures of South American music with a contemporary finish close to Latin jazz.
The album was released as a single CD, with original publication date in April 2000 and catalogue number 314 543 521-2.
For fans of vocal jazz and Latin jazz looking for an intimate record with refined arrangements.
