The CD brings together choral and orchestral works by Vaughan Williams, including the cantata Willow-Wood, for baritone, female chorus and orchestra, in its world premiere recording. It also includes Toward the Unknown Region, with texts by Walt Whitman, the cantata The Sons of Light, about the passage of the sun, and Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus, for strings and harp.
