«We Could Be Kings» is the CD single by British band Gene, released in 1997 by Polydor.
The CD includes three tracks: the title song, «We Could Be Kings»; «Dolce & Gabbana Or Nowt» and a cover of «Wasteland», originally by The Jam. Together they sum up their sound of melodic guitars and Britpop choruses, between melancholy and pop energy.
The single went on sale on 20 January 1997 with the catalogue number COSCD10.
Will appeal to fans of Britpop and British indie rock of the nineties.
