«Violin Concertos Nos. 1, 2 & 3» is the classical music album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Dmitry Sitkovetsky and the English Chamber Orchestra, released by Novalis on CD in 1987.
The album brings together the first three violin concertos composed by Mozart: No. 1 in B-flat major (KV 207), No. 2 in D major (KV 211), and No. 3 in G major (KV 216). Dmitry Sitkovetsky performs as soloist and conductor, adding his own cadenzas. Recorded in December 1986 at Abbey Road Studios in London, the recording offers a classical and expressive reading of these youthful works by the Salzburg composer.
The CD includes the three concertos with their complete movements (including the Allegro moderato of No. 1 and the final Rondo of No. 3) and totals about 71 minutes of music. The recording is digital (DDD) and corresponds to the Novalis label with catalogue number 150 012-2.
Recommended for classical music collectors and listeners seeking a comprehensive and well-documented version of Mozart's early violin concertos.
