«Về quê: Returning the countryside» is the traditional Vietnamese music album released in 2006 by Vietnam Melody Center, on CD.
Instrumental work that, as its title ('Returning the countryside') suggests, evokes the return to the countryside through an orchestra of 16-string zithers, monochord, bamboo flute and two-string violins. The pieces recreate a soundscape linked to Vietnamese rural landscapes.
The CD consists of a single disc and its cover combines texts in Vietnamese and English, with the logos of Melody and Phương Nam Phim.
For fans of traditional music, world music and Vietnamese culture.
