«Un Ballo in Maschera» is the album by Giuseppe Verdi with Maria Callas, released in 1998 by Opera D'oro on double CD.
The opera combines passion and betrayal in a courtly drama: the characters move between love, loyalty and intrigue, and the tension culminates during the masked ball that gives the work its title.
The performance features Maria Callas, Giuseppe di Stefano and Ettore Bastianini, with Gianandrea Gavazzeni conducting. Live recording from 1957 in Milan, issued on two CDs.
For fans of classical opera and collectors of historical recordings featuring Maria Callas.
