«Ucross Journal» is the album by Ernesto Diaz-Infante, released in 1999 by CD Baby on CD.
Ucross Journal brings together 25 short pieces for solo piano composed by Ernesto Diaz-Infante during his residency at the Ucross Foundation, one for each day of the stay; each entry reflects the impressions of that day. The album, in a neoclassical style close to avant-garde jazz, is completed with five free improvisations based on that material.
The CD edition consists of one disc (catalogue number PR90249) and was originally released on 5 October 1999 in the USA.
For fans of avant-garde jazz, neoclassical music and contemporary piano who appreciate short, introspective pieces.
