«Tsotsi» is the soundtrack album of the eponymous film, released in 2006 by Milan Records, on CD.
The soundtrack combines hip-hop, kwaito and film music with South African artists such as Zola, Pitch Black Afro and Vusi Mahlasela. The songs reflect the poverty, violence and redemption of the film, alternating urban rhythms with the compositions of Mark Kilian and Paul Hepker. The album includes «Midwembe», «Matofotofo» and «Silang Mabele».
CD with 19 tracks; «Ghetto Scandalous», by Zola, is the only track that does not appear in the film.
For fans of South African hip-hop and kwaito, followers of the film «Tsotsi» and collectors of film soundtracks.
