«Transparent» is the jazz album by Ole Theill, released in 2020 by Music for Dreams on CD.
Ole Theill, Danish tabla master, builds Transparent in dialogue with composer Clarice Assad: his tablas set the pulse, while the Halvcirkel string quartet, with Assad's arrangements, provides the narrative tension. The tracks «Between Leaves» and «Sunfoni» showcase this combination of percussion and strings.
Danish edition released on 6 November 2020; catalogue number ZZZCD193. Transparent features Kenneth Knudsen and Thomas Fonnesbæk.
For those seeking a jazz album where percussion and string quartet converse.
