«Transcriptions d'opéras pour ensemble à vent» is the album by the Ensemble à Vent Maurice Bourgue with transcriptions of Mozart operas, released in 1987 on CD.
The CD contains excerpts from the wind ensemble transcriptions of three Mozart operas: «La flauta mágica» (K 620), «Così fan tutte» (K 588) and «Don Giovanni» (K 527). The Ensemble à Vent Maurice Bourgue performs these instrumental adaptations, which retain the lyrical and dramatic character of the original scenes.
Disques Pierre Verany is the French label that releases this 1-disc CD. The recording is digital (DDD) and the cover reproduces the title in French and English with the list of the three operas.
For classical music listeners interested in Mozart and the expressive possibilities of the wind ensemble.
