«Timeless» is the jazz compilation by Coleman Hawkins, released in 2002 by Savoy Jazz on CD.
The album surveys the legacy of Coleman Hawkins, the saxophonist known as «The King of Saxophone», with recordings that show his mastery of the instrument and a swing able to move between classic and progressive jazz. It includes tracks such as «There Is Nothing Like A Dame», «Modern Fantasy» and «September Song».
The CD includes collaborations by Frank Wess, Marshall Royal and Freddie Green, in a US edition with texts in English.
An album aimed at jazz collectors and at those who want to explore the work of a reference saxophonist of the genre.
