«This Is Just a Modern Rock Song» is the EP by Belle & Sebastian, released in 1998 on Jeepster Recordings, on CD.
Four-track EP spanning Belle & Sebastian's indie pop and alternative rock: the lengthy «This Is Just a Modern Rock Song» sits alongside the evocative «I Know Where the Summer Goes» and the melodic «Slow Graffiti». Introspective lyrics and pop arrangements define a brief but representative release from the band in the late nineties.
CD edition released in the UK, with catalogue code JPRCDS 009 and distribution by 3MV/Pinnacle.
For fans of Belle & Sebastian and listeners wanting a characteristic EP of British nineties indie pop and indie rock.
