«The Victory Concert» is the jazz album by Claude Bolling Big Band, released in 2002 by Frémeaux & Associés on CD.
Recorded in 1994 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of D-Day, the album recreates the atmosphere of the great orchestras of 1944-45. The French 17-piece ensemble, led by pianist Claude Bolling, performs swing classics such as «In the Mood», «Moonlight Serenade» and «Sing Sing Sing», in a sound evoking Glenn Miller.
CD edition of one disc, published in France with catalogue number FA 450.
Aimed at swing and big band enthusiasts, especially those seeking recreations of Glenn Miller's repertoire.
