«The Right Time» is the jazz album by the Scott Hamilton Quintet, released in 1987 on CD.
The album falls within cool jazz and swing, with a repertoire performed by the quintet and a relaxed, elegant sound. The pieces maintain a melodic, restrained air, close to classic small-ensemble jazz. The cover, with its black-and-white photograph, sheet music and a clock, reinforces that atmosphere of unhurried listening.
The sleeve features Chris Flory, John Bunch, Phil Flanigan and Chuck Riggs alongside Scott Hamilton. German edition on Concord Jazz/Bellaphon, reference CCD 4311.
Suitable for fans of classic jazz and swing seeking a leisurely, elegant small-ensemble listening experience.
