«The Producers: A New Mel Brooks Musical» is the live album by Cornelius Obonya, Andreas Bieber and Bettina Mönch, released in 2008 by HitSquad on CD.
The musical satirises Broadway: producer Max Bialystock and accountant Leo Bloom plan to stage a flop and run off with the investors' money. They hire the worst play, a dreadful director and disastrous actors, but the audience turns the production into an unexpected hit.
CD edition of one disc, recorded live in Vienna (Austria); the songs are performed in German.
For fans of musicals and Mel Brooks' humour, especially live recordings of German-language productions.
