«The Other Side» is the third studio album by Swiss band Alastis, released in 1997 by Century Media on CD.
The album develops dense, atmospheric metal, with slow passages and a sombre setting marked by stone arches and an inverted cross on its cover. It combines extreme rawness with melodic and gothic nuances, and among its tracks stand out «In Darkness» and «The Other Side».
Recorded at Woodhouse Studios in Germany, it was released with catalogue number 77156-2 and label code LC 6975.
Recommended for those seeking extreme metal from the 90s with a gothic atmosphere and a dark, elaborate sound.
