«The EMI Years» is the compilation album by Brazilian singer Simone, released in 1997 by EMI on CD.
A compilation bringing together a selection of songs Simone recorded during her time at EMI, with a repertoire that moves between bossa nova and MPB. Her distinctive voice shapes compositions by Brazilian songwriters such as Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento and Ivan Lins, and the set serves as a good sample of her career.
It is a single-disc CD with catalogue number 7243 8 59275 2 2.
Aimed at those who want to discover Simone and fans of Brazilian popular music and bossa nova.
