«The Christians» is the self-titled debut pop rock album by British band The Christians, released by Island Records on CD.
The album blends pop rock with touches of soul, with a sound typical of the second half of the eighties. The lyrics have a reflective tone and the melodies are catchy, as shown by «Forgotten Town» and «Ideal World». This CD edition also includes extra versions such as the remix of «When the Fingers Point».
The original album is from 1987; this CD reissue, with three extra tracks, keeps the songs in English.
For those who enjoy British eighties pop rock with soul nuances.
