«Technique» is the album by New Order, released in 1989 by Festival Records on CD.
The album shows New Order integrating acid house and dance music into their post-punk and alternative rock sound, with influences from the Ibiza scene where some sessions were recorded. Tracks like Fine Time and Round & Round condense that mix of danceable electronic rhythms and the band's characteristic melodic vein.
It is New Order's fifth studio album and reached number one on the UK charts. Australian edition with catalogue number 463444.2.
Aimed at New Order fans and those who enjoy late-eighties electronic pop and acid house.
