«Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5 / Romeo and Juliet» is the classical music album by Tchaikovsky conducted by Árpád Joó, released in 1995 by Arts on CD.
The CD brings together two orchestral works by Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5, in which the well-known fate theme reappears, and the fantasy-overture Romeo and Juliet, which translates the Shakespearean drama with the contrast between the lovers' impetus and the final tragedy.
The Philharmonia Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra are the ensembles performing on the CD, released by the Arts label with catalogue number 447241.
For lovers of classical music and Russian Romanticism, with two essential orchestral works by Tchaikovsky.
