«Tainted Love» is the synth-pop maxi-single by Soft Cell and Marc Almond, released by Mercury on 12-inch vinyl.
The single takes the track recorded by Gloria Jones and turns it into a synth-pop classic: synthesizers, danceable rhythm and Marc Almond's voice define its electronic sound. This 12-inch edition includes «Tainted Love '91» and the original 12-inch version of the hit.
The original hit dates from 1981; this 1991 European edition was pressed at 45 RPM.
For vinyl collectors and fans of eighties electronic pop.
