«Sun Valley Serenade / Orchestra Wives» is the compilation album by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, released by Great Movie Themes on CD.
Compilation with the original soundtracks of Sun Valley Serenade and Orchestra Wives, two musical films from the big band era. Glenn Miller and his orchestra perform swing and jazz with the collaboration of Tex Beneke, Marion Hutton, Ray Eberle and the Modernaires, in a selection that recovers the sound of classic cinema.
The cover shows a skiing scene in the snow, a portrait of Glenn Miller and a photo of the orchestra, along with the Original Soundtracks and MCA Records logos.
For lovers of swing and classic jazz, and for collectors of film soundtracks from the mid-20th century.
