«Stranger on the Shore» is a compilation by Acker Bilk, released on CD in 1992.
The album brings together twelve versions and classics performed by the British clarinettist, including the famous title track, «Stranger on the Shore», as well as «Let It Be Me», «The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face» and «I Can't Stop Loving You»; overall, a programme close to traditional jazz and easy listening.
The cover reproduces a black-and-white photograph of Acker Bilk with his clarinet, superimposed on a casino scene with roulette wheels and neon signs.
Suitable for jazz and easy listening fans looking for an anthology of Acker Bilk's greatest clarinet hits.
