«Spellbound» is Paula Abdul's second studio album, released by Virgin in 1991, on CD.
The record combines danceable pop with nineties ballads, within a synth-pop sound that alternates upbeat choruses and more intimate moments. «Rush Rush» and «The Promise of a New Day» are two of the tracks that sum up this mix: the former as a ballad and the latter with a more rhythmic pulse, alongside other electronic and vocal pop tracks.
Released on 14 May 1991, the CD consists of a single disc and falls within pop and electronic music, with vocal, synth-pop and ballad styles.
For collectors of 90s pop and dance and for followers of Paula Abdul's career.
