«Sones de Sefarad» is the Sephardic music album by Grupo Cinco Siglos, released by Fonoruz in 2014 on CD.
The CD brings together traditional Sephardic melodies performed on early instruments, a repertoire that evokes the cultural heritage of Sefarad, the Hebrew name for Spain. It is a journey through the Judeo-Spanish songbook with a historically informed approach, recovering the musical memory of the Sephardic communities of the Iberian Peninsula.
The audio CD edition consists of one disc and was released on 15 January 2014; the album falls within traditional and world music.
For fans of traditional music, performance on early instruments, and the Sephardic cultural legacy.
