Soleil - Musiques Au Siecle De Louis XIV

Synopsis of Soleil - Musiques Au Siecle De Louis XIV

«Soleil - Musiques Au Siecle De Louis XIV» is a compilation by various Baroque music performers, released on CD by Erato in 1999.

A compilation of Baroque pieces evoking the music of Louis XIV's court: a selection of works with a ceremonial and festive air, performed by various artists with the participation of John Eliot Gardiner. The set offers a journey through the France of the Sun King, between the vocal and the instrumental.

The cover reproduces a stylized sun with rays in red and orange tones on a gold background, with the title in French and the Erato logo.

Aimed at classical and Baroque music enthusiasts, and for those seeking an introduction to the French court repertoire.
