«So Tough» is the second studio album by Saint Etienne, released in 1993 by Heavenly Recordings as a limited-edition double CD.
The album blends 90s indie pop and electronics with house rhythms, cinematic samples and pop melodies; its sound looks back nostalgically at British culture. It includes standout tracks such as «Avenue», «You're in a Bad Way» and «Hobart Paving», representative of the group's style.
The main album is complemented by a second disc, the compilation «You Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone», gathering B-sides and rarities.
An edition aimed at Saint Etienne collectors and fans of 90s British independent pop.
