«Silver Or Lead» is the album by poet Ursula Rucker, released in 2003 on K 7 Records, on CD.
On «Silver Or Lead», Ursula Rucker weaves spoken word with downtempo, trip-hop and jazz backings: her poems address femininity, slavery, love, sexism and politics. It features «What a Woman Must Do», produced by Jazzanova, and «Release», with Little Louie Vega of Masters at Work.
It is Ursula Rucker's second album, after «Supa Sista». The edition includes a parental advisory for explicit content.
For listeners of spoken word and electronic music with a social message, including fans of trip-hop and future jazz.
