«Sextet» is the jazz album by bassist Oscar Pettiford, released in 1996 by Sony Music Entertainment, on CD.
Bassist Oscar Pettiford leads a sextet featuring Tal Farlow on guitar, Max Roach on drums, Kai Winding on trombone, Henri Renaud on piano, and Al Cohn on saxophone. The repertoire, recorded in New York in 1954, moves between post-bop and cool jazz, and this remastered edition recovers those sessions.
