This edition of Giuseppe Verdi's opera features selected passages, not the complete performance: it includes the overture, orchestral excerpts and vocal scenes. The cover presents the selection with the subtitle 'Brani scelti', meaning chosen pieces.
Soloists: Robert Merrill, Anna Moffo, Alfredo Kraus, Rosalind Elias and Ezio Flagello. Conductor: Georg Solti, with the Orchestra and Chorus of the RCA Italian Opera. Single CD from the RCA Victor Gold Seal series.
For fans of classical opera and recordings conducted by Georg Solti.
