«Researching the Blues» is the album by Redd Kross, released in 2012 by Sweet Nothing, on CD.
This album marks Redd Kross's recording comeback and champions a direct, energetic rock and roll, with echoes of Los Angeles punk and melodic power pop. The songs combine careful vocal harmonies, arrangements of some complexity, and a production that recalls late-1960s AM radio.
Brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald founded the band in Los Angeles when they were 15 and 11, during the first wave of punk. The edition consists of a single disc.
For those who appreciate alternative rock and Californian punk, as well as fans of Redd Kross.
